SUBANG JAYA – The Democratic Action Party (DAP) has launched a relief fund for victims of the Putra Heights gas pipeline explosion following public requests, said DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke. Speaking after delivering aid on Saturday, Loke explained the fund simplifies collecting and distributing donations to affected residents. He slammed critics of the initiative as “senseless,” stating, “This is a disaster; people want to help, yet they’re condemned.” Loke noted many supporters, unable to match large corporate donations like Berjaya’s, asked how to contribute smaller amounts like RM50 or RM100. “We opened the fund due to public demand,” he added.
