SHAH ALAM – Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has denied interfering in the investigation of the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire that occurred last Tuesday. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday at the State Secretariat Building, Amirudin clarified that his initial statement was based on preliminary police reports linking an excavator to the explosion, not to shield any party. “I never intended to meddle in the investigation; my statement came from early police discussions, and I’ve called for a transparent probe,” he said. Amid social media criticism, he emphasized ensuring aid reaches victims and a fair investigation, urging the public to avoid speculation.
