Cooking Oil Hoarder Fined RM15,000 by Sessions Court

The Sessions Court fined company owner Abu Bakar Abdul Rahman RM15,000 for hoarding 2,210 kg of cooking oil at his Marang premises last year. Judge Mohd Zul Zakiqudin Zulkifli imposed a six-month jail term if he fails to pay.

Separately, lorry driver Mohd Rozi Mohd Zain was fined RM15,000 for dealing with 1,677.1 litres of diesel without a license at a petrol station in Dungun. He faces jail if the fine remains unpaid. Both cases, tried under the Supply Control Act 1961, emphasize the enforcement of laws against stockpiling and unauthorized trade of controlled items.
