KUALA LUMPUR, April 08, 2025 – The High Court was told on April 7 that RM16 million received by Umno from Jendela Pinggiran Sdn Bhd (JPSB) in 2015 was a legitimate donation for party activities and charity, according to Umno executive secretary Datuk Mohd Sumali Reduan. He testified that no objections arose until 2021, when SRC International and its subsidiaries sued Umno, alleging the funds were fraudulently transferred due to breaches by former directors. Mohd Sumali denied knowledge of any CSR intent and said the money was spent on public welfare programs. The trial, also involving a RM3.5 million claim against Selangor Umno, continues today.
