KUALA LUMPUR – Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, 66, and his wife Datin Seri Zizie Izette Abdul Samad, 47, secured a suspension of their defence proceedings on three corruption charges totaling RM2.8 million at the Sessions Court on Wednesday (April 9). Judge Rosli Ahmad granted the suspension after lawyer M Athimulan, representing Bung Moktar, noted the prosecution’s lack of objection. The stay awaits a Court of Appeal review decision. With no opposition from Deputy Public Prosecutor Law Chin How, the judge vacated earlier trial dates, rescheduling them to August 18-20, September 2-4, and September 24-26.
