IPOH – Mokhtar Senik, a PAS Ulama Council member, criticized a senior PAS Ulama leader and assemblyman for attending a ceremony at a Selangor temple. In a Facebook post, using harsh terms that we cannot reproduce here, he warned that such actions, even if innocent, invite public misperception and slander. Mokhtar argued this undermines PAS’s accusations against political rivals for promoting liberalism and normalizing the forbidden. He urged the leader to issue a public apology rather than defend the act, stating, “If you’ve done it, just apologize openly—don’t dodge. Big roles need big souls, not small ones with big egos.”
