PETALING JAYA: Parti Amanah Nasional has called for immediate implementation of comprehensive sex and moral education, including in primary schools, following a surge in social crimes among minors. Citing a case in Kelantan where a 15-year-old girl became pregnant by an 11-year-old boy, Secretary-General Muhammad Faiz Fadzil described the situation as a sign of worsening moral issues. He criticized existing education and legal systems for failing to protect youth, urging open discussions on sex education, often taboo in Malay communities. Faiz stressed that such education is a responsibility, not liberalism, to prevent harmful outcomes like extramarital pregnancies.
