KUALA LUMPUR, April 12, 2025 — Electoral watchdog Bersih blasted Housing Minister Nga Kor Ming for announcing RM6.13 million for 33 projects in Tapah, encompassing the Ayer Kuning constituency facing a by-election. Bersih called it an abuse of government machinery, arguing the timing suggests vote-buying and gives the ruling party an unfair edge. The group cited its 2023 “3C” guidelines, barring campaign-like announcements during elections. Bersih lamented repeated violations by Nga’s ministry, warning that such patronage undermines electoral integrity and the government’s reform promises, urging fair competition in Ayer Kuning’s upcoming by-election. Bersih gave a D to Madani, remember.
