Amid criticism, DAP defended the drive, emphasizing convenience for small donors. The party took a swipe at PAS, which raised RM925,451 last year to settle RM825,000 in legal damages for MP Siti Mastura Muhammad’s defamation of DAP leaders. “Over RM800,000 for one individual,” DAP remarked on Facebook, contrasting PAS’ “jihad donation” with its relief efforts for tragedy victim.
