The Selangor government, led by Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, plans to demolish an unregistered private place of worship if it is not vacated, to make way for the proposed Dengkil Mosque. Amirudin stated that the site, lacking legal ownership or recognition under state and federal laws, cannot remain on land allocated for a mosque benefiting the local Muslim community. Aligning with Sultan Selangor’s decree, the issue will be resolved within a month. The owner has agreed to vacate, and while the government remains firm, Amirudin emphasized maintaining racial and religious harmony. The decision follows the Sultan’s call for swift action.
