RM500,000 fine or jail for 3R violations, warns Fahmi. But Mahathir disagree on 3R

During the Ayer Kuning by-election, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil urged the public to avoid 3R (race, religion, royalty) issues on social media, warning of fines up to RM500,000 or jail time. No complaints had surfaced, but with campaigning heating up, Fahmi stressed vigilance. He also reminded Cabinet members to refrain from announcing projects to ensure a fair contest.
