A 21-year-old suspect involved in the kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl in Negeri Sembilan was shot dead by police in Klang on April 14. The teen, abducted on April 10, was released after her family paid a RM280,000 ransom and provided jewelry.

The kidnappers initially demanded RM2 million. Bukit Aman CID Deputy Director Datuk Fadil Marsus confirmed the suspect fired at police during a chase before being killed. Police found a pistol and machete in his vehicle.
Authorities arrested other suspects after public tip-offs and praised community support in resolving the case.
