In Raub, tensions flared as MP Chow Yu Hui and Save Musang King Alliance (Samka) chairperson Wilson Chang were arrested under Section 186 of the Penal Code for allegedly obstructing public servants. The duo was detained at 4pm while giving statements at Raub police headquarters, following a clash last week where farmers confronted state officials clearing Musang King durian trees on disputed Sungai Klau land. Pahang police chief Yahaya Othman confirmed the arrests, sparked by three reports against Chow, Samka’s advisor. “Updates will follow on Facebook,” an aide promised, as the durian farm saga escalates.
