The Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) will be temporarily closed starting April 16 for safety, visitor comfort, and to facilitate maintenance by its new operator, LSH Service Master Sdn Bhd (LSHSM). The Ministry of Communications announced that the iconic tower remains government-owned and emphasized that any ongoing activity by former operator Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn Bhd (MKLSB) beyond March 31 is unauthorized.

The Federal Lands Commissioner issued eviction notices to MKLSB on April 3 and 9. Despite the concession handover, the ministry assures the public that tower operations and staff will remain unaffected. The reopening date will be announced later.
