Fatin Izzaty Muhammad, a candidate for Batu PKR Youth chief, claimed she was targeted in a smear campaign after a doctored video surfaced, allegedly showing her soliciting votes for money. In the edited clip, Fatin purportedly said incumbent Batu PKR chief P. Prabakaran, whose team she supports, would offer RM100 during a pre-Raya breaking-of-fast event and on voting day, with a “jackpot” if they won. Fatin, shocked, denied the allegations, insisting she was set up by youths she mentored. The video, partially audio-only, also showed her handing money off-camera, intensifying the controversy surrounding the PKR election.
