SHAH ALAM – PAS Youth Chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden accused certain parties of exploiting PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang’s statement on prioritizing political struggles over haj to divert attention from the real issue: the proliferation of licensed and illegal pig farms in Ayer Kuning, particularly in Kampung Tanjung Keramat, a predominantly Malay area. Afnan claimed the focus should be on addressing these farms, not haj. He referenced a similar 2012 statement by the late Tan Sri Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, questioning critics’ silence then. Abdul Hadi’s remarks, made during an Ayer Kuning by-election speech, were downplayed as the voting and haj dates do not clash.
