A concerned mother shared a photo of the Jalur Gemliang pins that school children are required to use starting this month. Apparently, the child’s pin broke in half, with the glue keeping it in place as thin as an “onion slice.” 

Mandatory Jalur Gemilang school pins allegedly falling apart

Social media users are implying that the suppliers for these pins are benefiting from this. Additionally with the allegations that these pins are falling apart, as we can see on social media. Others are asking, what are the quality control guidelines from the government to the suppliers?  

Some suggested that using a magnetic version of the pin would’ve been a much better alternative as pins are seen as a relic of yesterday.
