This action follows a joint investigation by Indonesia’s Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) and the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM), which confirmed contamination in 11 batches across nine products.
JAKIM Director-General Dato’ Dr Sirajuddin bin Suhaimee emphasized the need to protect Muslim consumer rights and Halal integrity. Importers are urged to contact JAKIM for removal arrangements, while the public is encouraged to report any sightings via JAKIM’s complaint portal.
