Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob returned to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters on April 24 to continue providing his statement. The Bera MP is being questioned about his asset declaration under Section 36(1) of the MACC Act 2009.
Ismail Sabri Returns to MACC Over Asset Declaration Probe
This marks the second phase of the investigation, with the first already completed. Ismail Sabri was previously questioned in March over alleged corruption and money laundering linked to RM170 million in cash discovered during a raid.
The probe centers on fund usage for the Keluarga Malaysia publicity campaign during his tenure from August 2021 to November 2022.
