Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin has announced his candidacy for PKR vice president in the party’s upcoming central leadership polls. Highlighting his role as PKR’s strategy director (2013–2022), his contribution to the 2018 government change, and his loyalty during the Sheraton Move crisis, Sim emphasized his steadfast commitment despite facing legal challenges in 2015. As Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary, he is the second new contender after Deputy Minister R Ramanan. Incumbents, including Selangor MB Amirudin Shari, Negeri Sembilan MB Aminuddin Harun, Ministers Nik Nazmi and Chang Lih Kang, and former VP Nurul Izzah Anwar, are also running.
