Netizens are questioning the Selangor government’s efforts to address frequent flooding, which now affects areas like Taman Sri Muda, Meru, and Taman Seri Alam. While floods are common in Malaysia’s east coast during monsoon seasons, Selangor faces floods even after heavy rain.

The government announced 11 mitigation measures, including drainage repairs and flood barrier upgrades. However, some users blame development projects for worsening floods, while others criticize politicians for prioritizing elections over flood management. 

Sympathy pours in for affected residents, as debates continue over the government’s response and the root causes of Selangor’s recurring floods.
