Recently, a PAS member expressed concern about Singaporean Malays, sparking debate online. Social media users argued that PAS should focus on issues within the states they govern, such as Kelantan. After over 30 years of PAS rule, said state has become a frequent subject of mockery in Malaysia.

Furthermore, social media users are making statements that people in said state are not entirely doing well. It seems that in lieu of this, X users feel that focusing on bettering your own state would be a better cause of action in contrast to criticising a literal first world country like Singapore.
Others state that Singaporean Malays don’t give a “shit” about “walauns.” Typically, “walauns” are what most Malaysians call PAS supporters.
