RM31.2mil Illegal Timber Seized in Massive Kelantan Raids

The General Operations Force (GOF) raided several illegal timber factories across four districts in Kelantan — Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Tanah Merah, and Jeli — under Op Khazanah, seizing items worth RM31.2 million. The operation involved 73 personnel and was conducted with the Kelantan Forestry Department.

Authorities detained 39 individuals, including undocumented Myanmar nationals, and confiscated 5,537 logs, 25 heavy machines, 93 cutting tools, and multiple wood-processing machines. The largest seizure was timber worth RM14.98 million, followed by RM11.75 million in machinery.

Violations included unlicensed operations under forestry and immigration laws. All evidence and suspects were handed to relevant authorities for further action.
