Negeri Sembilan spent RM27 million out of its RM135 million development allocation in Q1 2025, the State Assembly was told. Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun reported 361 projects under the Development Vote, with 10 completed, 143 in progress, 177 in pre-implementation, and 31 yet to begin.

The highest expenditure was under Vote P50 (Menteri Besar) with RM22.1 million spent (49.13%). The state’s debt to the federal government stands at RM937.8 million as of December 31, 2024, with no new loans since 2016. This year’s debt repayment allocation rose to RM3 million, and payment was made on February 27.
