KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 — Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi urged MCA to stay loyal to Barisan Nasional (BN) despite frustrations voiced by MCA’s leadership. Responding to MCA secretary-general Chong Sin Woon’s concerns about BN’s direction, Puad said MCA’s declining Chinese support, evident in winning only two seats in GE15, should not be blamed on BN’s Pakatan Harapan partnership. He criticized MCA’s absence from 2023 state elections and urged focus on governance in Johor, Malacca, Perak, and Pahang to regain support. Puad emphasized BN’s commitment to moderation and stability, calling MCA a vital ally for the people’s well-being. Remain loyal to BN is the message.
