A woman texted her fiance asking for a RM50,000 hantaran (with RM40,000) being the lowest. However, her fiance states that he is unable to afford a high price, excluding the wedding venue and price. He then bid her goodbye for good.
Is a RM50,000 hantaran absurd?
A woman states that it would be better to request a realistic amount. Not too high or not too low. Not too high as it’s difficult for a young couple to cope with the huge expenditure. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be wise to accept a too low offer as the husband has to understand responsibility.
Others are accusing the woman of being a “B40” person in lieu of her demands and specificity. Some comments are unkind, but users are all in agreement that such requests are outrageous.
