Pagoh MP Muhyiddin Yassin, leader of Bersatu, claimed superiority over Umno, highlighting Bersatu’s larger number of MPs and state assemblypersons. Speaking at an event, he emphasized Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) dominance, alongside PAS, in northern states, though PN only controls Kedah and Perlis, not Penang or Perak. The former PM criticized Umno for partnering with DAP in the federal coalition, accusing them of compromising principles. He asserted that Bersatu remains steadfast in its values, never wavering in its stance. The remarks came after Umno members told Bersatu to dissolve into Umno. In reply, Muhyiddin asked Umno to dissolve instead into Bersatu.
