Apparently, during the 2025 Met Gala, Lisa from Blackpink apparently wore an outfit that featured US Civil Rights leader, Rosa Parks indecently. Social media users appear to be vehemently upset by it as they felt that it was disrespectful to the woman who fought against racial segregation in the 1950s.

However, it seems that there are some who took to her defence citing that the entire team that designed her outfit were of African American descent. Furthermore, some feel that in lieu of what is happening in the United States, this should be seen as an homage to the plight of the American minorities.
African Americans appear to be upset by the situation, citing that those not in the community should “stay out” of their culture. For many, there are better ways to pay tribute to the civil rights leader.
