In a statement, MOH said the move aims to create a more transparent, fair, and sustainable healthcare system in line with the aspirations of the MADANI government. The statement follows a peaceful protest by private practitioners in Putrajaya opposing the price tagging requirement for medicines.

MOH emphasized its commitment to continued stakeholder engagement and said it is open to reviewing the submitted memorandum and improving policies based on current data and evidence. Ensuring affordable and reasonable access to medicines remains a top priority.
