Eight personnel were reported dead and three seriously injured in a collision involving a Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) lorry and a stone-laden lorry on Jalan Chikus–Sungai Lampam in Teluk Intan this morning.

Hilir Perak Police Chief ACP Dr. Bakri Zainal Abidin confirmed the incident and said an official media statement is being prepared. The Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) of Perak received an emergency call at 8:54 a.m. and found two victims trapped in the FRU lorry. Rescue operations are being carried out by the Teluk Intan Fire and Rescue Station team.
