Setiawangsa PKR chief Afdlin Shauki Aksan questioned Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli’s remark labeling him a “professional comedian,” calling it dismissive of his branch election victory. Afdlin, who joined PKR post-Sheraton Move, emphasized his commitment despite the party’s challenges. Meanwhile, PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail opted not to contest in the party polls to ensure stability, focusing on strengthening PKR as a pillar of the MADANI government and said a defeat of Nurul Izzah won’t impact PMX. Rafizi had urged his supporters to vote Nurul Izzah to ensure that Anwar is not seen as defeated if his daughter loses the fight. Vice-president Amirudin Shari defended the election’s transparency, demanding evidence for any doubts. The leadership election is set for May 23 in Johor Bahru.
