The Federal Court, led by Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, reserved judgment on appeals by six men sentenced to death for the 2015 murder of prosecutor Datuk Kevin Morais. The bench, including Court of Appeal president Tan Sri Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim and Federal Court judge Datuk Rhodzariah Bujang, will deliberate further. Deputy public prosecutor Datuk Yusaini Amer Abdul Karim argued the men shared a common intention, citing DNA evidence and Nimalan’s role in ramming Morais’ car.
