The Community Communications Department (J-KOM) has refuted claims of instructing staff to “like,” “share,” or promote specific candidates in the 2025 PKR election. Director-General Ismail Yusop called the allegations unfounded, emphasizing that J-KOM staff operate professionally and with integrity. “I strongly deny J-KOM’s involvement in campaigning for or against any leaders,” he stated on Facebook. As a Ministry of Communications agency, it is committed to delivering accurate, fair information to strengthen democracy and national stability. Ismail urged all parties to stop spreading false information that could damage the department’s reputation.
