Malaysian women’s doubles top seeds Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah advanced to the Thailand Open semi-finals in Bangkok on May 16, 2025, defeating China’s Chen Qing Chen and Wang Ting Ge 21-14, 21-11 in 33 minutes. Aiming for their first Thailand Open title, they will face either India’s Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand Pullela or Japan’s Rui Hirokami-Sayaka Hobara next. This marks their third semi-final appearance in the tournament. Meanwhile, Malaysian men’s doubles pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik will play compatriots Arif Junaidi and Yap Roy King in the quarter-finals later today.
