PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said some parties oppose fugitive Jho Low’s repatriation to Malaysia, fearing it could reveal further corruption. Speaking on Al-Jazeera’s 101 East, Anwar emphasized his focus on systemic corruption, not just the 1MDB scandal. He noted Low’s testimony is crucial to resolving the case, but locating him is challenging, with no confirmed leads, including unverified speculation about China. Anwar, who ordered intensified efforts to find Low in 2022, described the process as complex, involving international cooperation, as negotiations with multiple countries continue to expedite Low’s return.
