PETALING JAYA: Segamat police are searching for a man who brought his pet dog to a 24-hour Muslim restaurant in Segamat Baru, Johor, last Sunday, sparking outrage online. A viral video showed the dog on a chair, prompting the restaurant to discard the seat, as dogs are considered ritually unclean by most Muslims. Police chief Ahmad Zamry Marinsah said investigations involve the Segamat Municipal Council. Netizens expressed dismay, highlighting cultural sensitivities.
