BATU PAHAT, May 17, 2025 — The Accountant-General’s Department has recorded RM13.3 billion in unclaimed monies as of April 2025, with only RM4 billion claimed since 1977, according to Accountant General Nor Yati Ahmad. Many remain unaware of their unclaimed funds, prompting Nor Yati to encourage checking via the eGumis portal or state branches. She announced intensified outreach efforts during the Kampung Angkat Madani programme at SK Minyak Beku. The initiative also supported local development, including water pipeline upgrades, Islamic hall repairs, cemetery fencing, and a funeral van handover, benefiting the community.
