Just 20 minutes after being released on RM6,000 bail for a fatal crash that killed nine Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) personnel, 45-year-old lorry driver Rudi Zulkarnain Mat Radi was rearrested.

The new arrest, made at the Ipoh Court complex, relates to a separate cattle theft case in Hutan Melintang, Bagan Datuk, under Section 379 of the Penal Code. 

Previously, Rudi had pleaded not guilty to nine charges of reckless driving under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. His employer and a friend had posted his bail. He is scheduled to return to court on 17 June.
