GEORGETOWN, May 21 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow confirmed the purchase of 15 Toyota Camry 2.5V vehicles for state government use, costing RM3.31 million, including road tax and excise duty. Each car, priced at approximately RM220,783, was allocated on April 4, with ten for state executive councillors, three for ex-officials, and one each for the State Legislative Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker. Chow noted the previous vehicles were over five years old. The announcement followed a query by Air Putih assemblyperson Lim Guan Eng during the state assembly sitting today.
