The craze over sugar water in this country has been growing. Social media users tend to talk about what brand would offer the best sugar filled drink for their enjoyment. An X user states that most Malaysians are unable to afford to set aside RM100/month but yet are buying these sugary drinks on the daily.

However, it seems that some users were offended at such statements and claim that those of lesser income should be able to enjoy what they can afford. This is despite the fact that the original post meant something completely different.
Others are surprised at the amount of money we spend on snack options in lieu of the taste. Regardless, it is up to the individual’s choice on what they’d want to spend their money on.
