Parti Warisan (Warisan) has reaffirmed its decision to contest independently in the upcoming 17th Sabah state election, using its own logo. Secretary-General Datuk Loretto Padua Jr said Warisan remains the only consistent opposition party in Sabah and rejected political coalitions as ineffective for the state’s future.

He stressed that the party prioritises people-centric governance and is preparing actively for the polls. Warisan will not partake in “political games,” instead focusing on defending Sabahans’ rights. The 16th State Assembly’s term is set to expire automatically on November 11, paving the way for fresh elections.
