Vape shop operators in Kedah have until December 2025 to cease operations under a new statewide ban on electronic cigarette sales. State official Mansor Zakaria confirmed that no extensions will be given, citing public health concerns and rising synthetic drug abuse. 

Kedah Bans Vape Sales, Traders Given Until December to Comply

The seven-month grace period, from May to December, is intended to give traders time to shift to other businesses. The ban aligns with similar moves in Terengganu and Perlis and follows the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024 (Act 852). Full enforcement begins in early 2026, with non-compliant shops facing fines and product seizures.
