KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 — Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has filed a contempt application against former Attorney-General Ahmad Terrirudin Salleh. Najib’s counsel, Shafee Abdullah, said the filing on May 21 follows Terrirudin’s 2024 refusal to disclose a royal addendum ordering Najib’s six-year sentence be served under house arrest. Shafee alleged Terrirudin misled the Kuala Lumpur High Court by dismissing the addendum as “speculation.” Najib claims this breached the AG’s duty of candour, undermining justice. The application seeks sanctions for disreputing the administration of justice, citing Malaysian and international jurisprudence.
