Luxury fashion house Dior has agreed to a series of corrective measures to close an Italian antitrust investigation into misleading claims about labor conditions in its supply chain.
Dior Escapes Fine in Italian Labor Probe, Pledges €2M for Reforms
The probe followed revelations that underpaid, often undocumented workers were producing bags for Dior and Armani in Italian workshops. Dior, owned by LVMH, will contribute €2 million over five years to support victims of labor exploitation and implement stricter supplier oversight.
While the Italian watchdog found no formal breach of law, it accepted Dior’s voluntary commitments. Critics, including Codacons, called the outcome too lenient and the financial remedy insignificant.
