Civil society groups, including Projek Sama, Ideas Malaysia, and Haram, have intensified calls for Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar to file fresh charges against former Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in the RM6.6 billion International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) case. They urged Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim to declassify key documents to aid the prosecution. The groups warned that failure to act could lead to Najib’s acquittal, holding Anwar accountable due to his oversight of the AG’s office. Last November, Najib and Irwan Serigar Abdullah received a discharge not amounting to acquittal due to missing classified documents.
