Mas Gading MP and DAP Sarawak vice chairman Mordi Bimol has urged local authorities (PBTs) to clarify the high costs of the MyKiosk 2.0 initiative, which has sparked debate in Sarawak. Public concerns focus on claims that a single kiosk’s construction exceeds RM25,000, deemed excessive for its size and function. Mordi called for detailed disclosures on itemised costs, tender processes, contractor selection, and price justifications. He praised the Ministry of Housing and Local Government’s submission of project documents to the MACC, urging PBTs to follow suit to ensure transparency and prevent mismanagement in the initiative aimed at supporting small traders.
