SEREMBAN: The public has praised the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) for inviting DAP’s Bahau assemblyman, Teo Kok Seong, to a briefing on Islamic administration. Described as a commendable move, the briefing aimed to enhance non-Muslim leaders’ understanding of Islam and its regulations, fostering sensitivity and preventing missteps. Social activist Edy Nor Redzuan called it a Pakatan Harapan dakwah approach to educate non-Muslim assemblymen. MAINS clarified that Teo’s presence, mandated by Tuanku Muhriz, was to gain accurate insights, refuting claims of monitoring. The initiative promotes inclusivity and mutual understanding.
