Netflix, a popular streaming service recognized in most parts of the world, has been the standard in streaming television shows. However, it seems that in this economy, Malaysians are not even able to afford that and are looking for more affordable alternatives instead.
Malaysians apparently can’t even afford Netflix in this economy
The cost of a basic plan from the company is around RM30/month. An X user shared an alternative to the streaming giants. These platforms shared are apparently not legal, as Hollywood condemned them just last year.
Furthermore, it seems that cost cutting by choosing which basic necessity is more important is the current trend among Malaysians. Just a few years ago, this was not the case at all.
