Snatch Thief Foiled by Victim’s Husband in Rawang Robbery Attempt

A 31-year-old man was arrested for attempting to snatch a gold necklace from a woman in her 40s along Jalan Maxwell, Rawang, on Sunday. Gombak police chief ACP Noor Ariffin said the suspect, aided by an accomplice who fled on a motorcycle, attacked the woman as she entered her car after shopping.

The victim sustained chest and knee injuries, but her husband, with help from bystanders, managed to apprehend the suspect. The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for causing hurt during a robbery. Police are still hunting for the second suspect.
