The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is investigating a TikTok livestream showing an individual stepping on the Jalur Gemilang, Malaysia’s national flag. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil condemned the act, emphasizing that the government will not tolerate insults to the flag, a symbol of sovereignty and unity. The video, reportedly streamed from Sri Lanka for over four hours, is linked to an ongoing cyber conflict between Malaysian and Sri Lankan users, fueled by racist remarks and offensive content.
